In case of water harder than 25 °fH (1
°fH = 10 ppm CaCO3), use suitably treated
water in order to avoid possible scaling in
the unit.

2.5 Gas connection

Before making the connection, check
that the unit is arranged for operation
with the type of fuel available and
carefully clean all the system pipes
to remove anything able to affect
its proper operation. Carry out
the connections according to the
dimensions and connections given
in Section 4.1.
1 The gas connection (see Section 4.1) must be carried out in
compliance with current regulations.
2 Carry out the connection with a rigid metal pipe (for the gas
supply) or a flexible pipe (of approved type, not to be con-
fused with flexible elastomer connectors) for LPG system,
with continuous s/steel wall, placing a gas valve between the
system and the water heater (AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO
THE UNIT).
3 After connection, check that all gas connections are tight.
Therefore, do a tightness test and, to avoid any damage
to the unit due to overpressure, leave the gas inlet valve
closed.
Make sure the pressure and flow rate are those indicated for the
unit's consumption.
See the Technical Data table, Section 4.3.
When using the hose (approved, not to be
confused with the flexible elastomer con-
nectors) for LPG, pay particular attention
to the following:
