    Introduction Chapter 1 Welcome to the NPort 5200 Series of advanced serial device servers that make it easy to network enable your serial devices. The NPort 5200 Series consists of 4 models: NPort 5210 (2 ports for RS-232), NPort 5230 (1 port for RS-232; 1 port for RS-422/485), NPort 5232 (2 ports for RS-422/485), and NPort 5232I (2 ports for RS/422/485, with isolation).

    Auto IP Report Protocol Appendix E NPort Series provides several ways to configure Ethernet IP addresses. One of them is DHCP Client. When you set up the NPort to use DHCP Client to configure Ethernet IP addresses, it will automatically send a DHCP request over the Ethernet to find the DHCP Server. And then the DHCP Server will send an available IP address to the NPort.
