Start the tractor and run the system at idle for a few minutes,
bringing constant pressure to the entire circuit in order to avoid
instability of the blower. Bring the blower up to the number of
revolutions that corresponds to the working conditions (Table
B).
ATTENTION
When it is not intended to distribute product, but rather
to use only the equipment to which it is applied,
disconnect the pump and the multiplier from the rear
power take-off and replace it in the special attachment.
Blower pump control:
Seed drills are delivered with pressure based on the machine
width, as according to table (B).
If you wish to increase the number of revolutions of the fan for
distributing heavier seeds, carefully proceed as follows (fig. 22):

In those cases where the power is taken from the rear
power take-off of a harrow or a miller, if possible
disconnect the moving parts of the knives. In any case,
make sure that no one is able to get near the rear
apparatus.
a) loosen the handwheel (1);
b) rotate the handwheel (2) clockwise or anticlockwise to re-
duce or increase pressure and adjust the number of
revolutions of the blower accordingly.
It is strictly forbidden to touch act on the dowel (3) for
any reason, as this would unset the system and could
lead to the motor or pump breaking.
Remember furthermore that at the successive start-up of the
system, with cold oil and the position of the regulator untouched,
there will be an initial increase in the blower speed which, once
the right working temperature has been reached, will return to

OIL COOLING
When using a dependent system it is important to check the
capacity of the tractor's oil tank and whether the cooling system
is sufficient. If necessary have an oil cooler or a larger tank installed
on the tractor by the dealer: the ratio between the volume
of oil in the system and the capacity of the tank should
be approximately 1:2.
With the independent system, check the oil level in the tank
daily during the period of use; top up if necessary. Oil tank capacity
(AGIP OSO 32, ISO-L-HM classification) 62 litres.
-
Always keep oils and grease out of reach of children.
-
Always read warnings and precautions indicated on
the containers carefully.
-
Avoid skin-contact.
-
After use wash the equipment thoroughly.
-
Treat the used oils and polluting liquids in conformity
(B)
with the laws in force.
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility due to
negligence and non-observance of these rules.
3.6 ADJUSTING THE SEEDING DEPTH
To obtain a good level at which sprouts come out, the seed
needs to be placed at the right depth into the seeding bed.
The seeding depth is adjusted simultaneously for all planting
devices through a crank. By rotating it clockwise, a stronger
pressure can be exerted on the planting devices to the ground
by means of the extension springs, thus allowing deeper seeding.
Pressure can also be further adjusted individually at spring level,
by changing the position of the chain rings.
3.7 BEFORE STARTING WORK
Before starting the seeding operation grease all parts indicated
by transfer nr. 10 ('GREASE') at page 24 of this leaflet.

3.8 OPERATION START

Start the tractor and run the system at idle for a few minutes,
bringing constant pressure to the entire circuit in order to avoid
instability of the blower. Bring the blower up to the number of
revolutions that corresponds to the working conditions.
In humid climates, operate the fan with no-load for a few minutes
in order to dry out the tubes.
3.8.1 PREPARATIONS FOR SOWING
Carefully follow the instructions below and perform the ope-
ra-tions in the order they are listed:
-
Using the gear lever, put the tractor engine into neutral;
-
Brake the tractor and if necessary, secure it with wooden
blocks sized according to the size of the wheels;
-
Ensure that no-one can approach the tractor driver's seat;
-
From the driver's seat of the tractor, raise the equipment;
-
Operate the power take-off or the oleo-dynamic system of
the blower at a defined speed;
-
Check that all the drive shafts are properly engaged.
-
Carefully check moving parts, driving parts and seed
distribution.
-
Regulate the metering mechanism as described in the
preceding chapters;
-
Adjust the metering unit according to the distribution table;
