Important: When using the Program Commands to edit a tile's name or category information
or to change its numerical location (including when copying), only its program file data will be
saved; any adjustments made using the PARAMETER and EDIT dials will not be saved,
so you must make a note of these before you press the UPLOAD TO FI button.
From top to bottom, the checkboxes' functions are as follows:
● MOVE: After ticking this box, you can click and drag a single tile or multiple tiles to a
new location. The moved tile(s) will overwrite the tile(s) in the new location.
● SWAP: After ticking this box, you can click and drag a single tile or multiple tiles to a
new location and the tiles will change places.
● COPY: After ticking this box, you can click and drag a single tile or multiple tiles to a
new location and the dragged tile(s) will be copied to the new location, overwriting
the tile(s) there.
● ERASE: After ticking this box, you can either click a single tile to delete it or you can
select multiple tiles and then click any of the selected tiles to delete all the selected
tiles.
● EDIT: After ticking this box, you can alter the name and category of a tile. You can
only change the name of a singly-selected tile; you can change the category of any
number of tiles simultaneously.
To change the name of a tile, click the tile to select it. Now click the name shown in
the text box in the EDIT section in the upper-right corner of the screen, type the new
name then press OVERWRITE.
To change the category of any number of tiles, select the tile(s), then from the EDIT
section, tick the category checkbox you wish to apply; the choices are BASS, GTR
(guitar), MIDI, FX (effects) and EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument). If you wish to have
no category assigned to the tile(s), then untick all the category boxes. Press
OVERWRITE to assign the new category information.
Note 1: When moving, swapping or copying multiple files, they will always move
keeping the physical pattern of their locations (e.g. if you select five tiles in an
L-shape, they will move in an L-shape); if you try to move them to the new location
and some of the tiles in the pattern stray outside the borders of the tile grid, then only
the tiles that are inside the grid will be moved, swapped or copied.
Note 2: Tile number and category name can use up to 8 characters of the filename.
Therefore if you send a program whose name is longer than 26 characters to a tile,
then the name may get truncated when shown in the Editor's Program Display, when
saved, or when written to the FI.
