Making Connections

n n n n Connecting the Machine to Your PC
To connect the machine to the computer you must use a printer cable matching the connector interface of your computer.
• Less than 3.0 m long bi-directional parallel cable (IEEE1284 based)
• Less than 5.0 m long USB cable
• Connect one of the mentioned above cables.
• If you are using USB cable, make sure your computer runs Microsoft Windows 98/Me, Windows 2000 or Windows XP/Server 2003,
is equipped with a USB port, and its operation is approved by the manufacturer.
Connecting using parallel cable
• Make sure the computer is turned off.
Connecting using USB cable
Parallel interface connection
Connect to your computer using parallel cable.
Fix the connector solidly using the wire clips.
USB interface connection
Connect to your computer using USB cable.
