3.6 Storage Drives

The CSE-515B-R801W/R601W chassis supports two internal 2.5" storage drives in drive
carriers to simplify their removal from the chassis. These carriers also help promote proper
airflow.
Note: Enterprise level hard disk drives are recommended for use in Supermicro chassis and
servers. For information on recommended HDDs, visit the Supermicro website at
supermicro.com/products/nfo/files/storage/SBB-HDDCompList.pdf.
Installing 2.5" Drives
1. Remove power as described in Section 3.1 and remove the chassis cover.
2. If necessary, remove the PCI expansion card from the chassis.
