If your system is not already fully integrated with processors, system memory etc., refer to Chapter 4 for details on installing those specific components. This rail set fits a rack between 25.6" and 33" deep. The following is a basic guideline for installing the system into a rack with the rack mounting hardware provided.

If you have an older rack with round holes, these brackets must be removed, and you must use screws to secure the rail to the rack.

Each fan unit is actually made up of two fans joined back-to-back, which rotate in opposite directions. This counter- rotating action generates exceptional airflow and works to dampen vibration levels. Make sure the chassis top cover makes a good seal so the cooling air circulates properly through the chassis.
2. Unplug the fan cable from the serverboard and remove the failed fan from the chassis. 3. Replace the failed fan with an identical 4cm fan, available from Supermicro. 4. The JTPM1 header is used to connect a Trusted Platform Module (TPM)/Port 80, which is available from Supermicro. A TPM/Port 80 connector is a security device that supports encryption and authentication in hard drives. 5.3 SuperDoctor ® The Supermicro SuperDoctor 5 is a program that functions in a command-line or web-based interface for Windows and Linux operating systems. The program monitors such system health information as CPU temperature, system voltages, system power consumption, fan speed, and provides alerts via email or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
