This upgrade process does not add Capture Platforms to your system. Use
the Administrator tool to add these manually.
On Enterprise Systems where the Media database is very large, upgrading
from earlier releases (such as from 7.2) may take a long time. You need to
check that you have sufficient transaction log space to handle updates to
every single line in the Media database. You might even want to copy the
data out to a temporary table while you are doing the upgrade.
Do not cancel the upgrade until all operations are complete. If you receive
an error message that the transaction log or temporary database has been
filled up, restore the backup, make room on the disk, and then restart.
Uninstalling Viewer
To uninstall Viewer:
1 Select Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
2 Select Viewer from the list of installed programs and click Change/
Remove.
3 Click OK to confirm that you want to remove the application.
A prompt appears, asking if you want to remove the databases.
It is recommended that you do not remove the databases, as you will
lose all queries and query templates, as well as any other configuration
data. If the eWare calls database is located on the same server as the
Viewer databases, then the ewarecalls database will also be removed
along with all the call records and recorder configuration records.
4 Do one of the following:
To retain the databases, click No. The uninstall will continue without
removing the databases.
To remove the databases, click Yes. Windows prompts you to
confirm this action. Click Yes to continue.
5 If necessary, enter your Viewer SQL Server account information, then
click Next.
