b. If using an Ethernet/serial port cable, disconnect the cable from the I/O
panel.
c. If using an RJ-45 Ethernet/serial port cable, disconnect the cable from
the ELAN.
d. Disconnect the faceplate cable from the RS-232 cable (the round serial
connector at the bottom of the faceplate-DN8 connector) on the Voice
Services card from the COM port on a PC.
Remove the Voice Services card from the switch.
Remove any PCMCIA cards and DSP cards from the old card.
Take care not to mix up the cards. In particular, take care not to insert
a card incorrectly in slot B:, when it was originally installed in slot A:.
Remove the dongle from the socket on the Voice Services card.
Insert the dongle into the socket of the new Voice Services card.
Insert any PCMCIA cards and DSP cards into the new card.
Insert the Voice Services card into the IPE slot in the switch.
Do a loadware upgrade if necessary.
