Functional description of the DIP switch:

1. Switching over between heating and cooling operation

If a heating installation is connected, the DIP switch 1 must be set to position "OFF". If,
nevertheless, the room thermostat is used for an air conditioning system, the switch must
be set to position "ON".
Please observe, that for a heating installation the comfort temperature is higher than the
lowering temperature.
For an air conditioning system, the opposite is given: The comfort temperature is lower than
the lowering temperature.

2. Selecting a time delay

The DIP switch 2 only enables the switching output, if the last switching process was at least
5 minutes ago. Thus, a connected heating installation is switched on again only, if it was
switched off before for at least 5 minutes (protection against too early switching ON/OFF).
In cooling mode, the time delay is always enabled, independently of the
position of the DIP switch 2.

3. Selecting a switching threshold

The switching threshold that can be set via DIP switch 3, is the temperature span
(difference) between the switch-on temperature and the switch-off temperature.
Temperature span
1°C (= +/- 0.5°C)
2°C (= +/- 1°C)
Tr = room temperature
TS = temperature which has been set
Example:
You have set a temperature of +20°C and a temperature span of 1°C. The heating
installation will be switched on as soon as the temperature has decreased to +19.5°C and
will be switched off as soon as the temperature has increased to +20.5°C.
Heating installation
ON if Tr <= Ts - 0.5°C
OFF if Tr >= Ts + 0.5°C
ON if Tr <= Ts - 1°C
OFF if Tr >= Ts + 1°C
Cooling system
ON if Tr >= Ts + 0.5°C
OFF if Tr <= Ts - 0.5°C
ON if Tr >= Ts + 1°C
OFF if Tr <= Ts - 1°C
