9. Connection & Assembly
Before starting installation, switch off the mains voltage of the electric
circuit to which the room thermostat shall be connected (switch off the
circuit breaker, unscrew the fuse). Then, switch off the circuit breaker FI.
Make sure that the mains voltage cannot be switched on again uninten-
tionally by third parties e.g. by means of corresponding warning labels
at the circuit breaker!
Check whether the lines are free of voltage by means of an appropriate
measuring instrument.
In case of improper work at the mains voltage, there is danger of a life-
threatening electric shock!
If in any doubt, let a specialist do the connection and installation work.
Observe all safety instructions and information in these operating in-
structions!
• To ensure that the room thermostat can detect the room temperature correctly and thus to
ensure correct functioning, do not install the device next to heat sources (heating radiators)
or in direct vicinity to windows or doors.
Do not expose the device to drafts or direct sunlight and do not place it next to other
electrical devices, loudspeakers, engines etc.
• A 3-pin terminal screw connected to the internal relay is located on the rear of the housing.
