10. Battery Replacement

Before replacing the batteries, the electric circuit to which the heating installa-
tion and thus the room thermostat are connected must be interrupted.
• When on the display a small battery symbol (" ") appears or flashes in the bottom left
corner, the batteries are exhausted and have to be replaced.

In case of the battery voltage being too low, the relay might not switch any
longer.
• Switch off the electric circuit (circuit breaker, unscrew the fuse) to which the heating
installation and thus the room thermostat are connected.
• To open the battery compartment, push the cover of the room thermostat to the right and
remove it.
• Remove the exhausted batteries and insert two new batteries observing correct polarity
(positive/+ and negative/-).

If battery replacement is done within a very short period of time (max. approx.
10 to 20 seconds), the settings are maintained (support capacitor inside the
room thermostat).
Otherwise, the settings have to be programmed again.
• Close the battery compartment and place the cover back onto the device.
