• Prepare the installation of the room thermostat and drill wall holes for dowels etc., if
necessary.
When drilling/tightening screws, be careful not to damage any power supply
lines, gas or water pipes!
• Connect the room thermostat to a heating installation or air conditioning system according
to the figure above. The heating installation / air conditioning system must be provided with
a corresponding control connection.
If, later on, the heating installation or cooling system works the other way round,
the NO/NC connections have to be interchanged.
For this, observe again the safety instructions mentioned under "Connection &
Assembly" at the beginning of chapter 9.
Do not strip too much of the cable insulation. Danger of short-circuit!
Tighten the cables in the terminal clamps by means of screws.
In case of flexible cables, use suitable wire end ferrules.
• Now, attach the room thermostat onto the wall and lay the connecting cable in such a way
that it is not squeezed or damaged.
• Remove a possibly existing protective foil from the display.
• The room thermostat is operated by means of two batteries of type AA/Mignon. The terminal
clamp on the rear only serves as switching output and does not provide the power supply
for the room thermostat.
Insert two batteries of type AA/Mignon into the battery compartment. For opening the
battery compartment, push the cover of the thermostat to the right and remove it. Please
observe correct polarity (positive/+ and negative/-). An indication now appears on the
display.
For battery replacement, observe chapter 10.
• If the display shows nothing but confused characters, press the countersunk "Reset" key
by means of a toothpick. Do not use a pencil or other pens containing graphite.
• Put the cover onto the device.
• Now, switch on the mains voltage.
