The NEB1G-1B network interface provides one 1000BASE-SX/1000BASE-LX port.
Note: GBIC is required when using 1000BASE-SX/1000BASE-LX. For information about

(1) Front Panel
For the explanation about each indicator, see Figure 1-22. Each indicator number in
the figure below corresponds to the number in Table 1-11.

Note 1:
If you are connected to the GR2000, there is a chance that this indicator will be lit, although the status of RP,
NIF, or LINE is CLOSE.
Note 2:
Regardless of the line state, this indicator will be lit if the system detects data.Because of this, there is a
chance that this indicator will be lit even if the cable is not connected on the destination side.

Ethernet Port 1000BASE-SX/1000BASE-LX (LINE 0)
Purpose
Description
Shows the condition
ON: Shows the optical level (see Note 1).
of LINE 0.
ON: Packet being sent (see Notes 1 and 2).
ON: Packet being received (see Notes 1 and 2).
Shows the condition
ON: GBIC is not installed, or indicates that GBIC may be pulled
of GBIC
out or inserted.
ON: GBIC is not installed (see Note 1).
Shows the condition
ON: Link is working (see Note 1).
of LINE 0.
Shows the condition
Green (blinking): In preparation (program being loaded)
of NIF.
Green ON: Status is OK, operation is possible.
Yellow ON: Locked out
Red ON: Failure detected.
OFF: Operation impossible or unit power is OFF.
