Software data writing procedure
Note
To write software data, the kernel must be upgraded to the following version.
• This unit: Version 1.03
• Controller: Version 3.30
Before writing software data, change the kernel version. (Refer to

Activate FFFTP and set the host. (Refer to

Select the set host name, and then click [Connect].

Display the transfer destination directory "/flb0/bin" of the FTP server.

Display the files stored in the following files in the USB flash drive.
This unit: /MSSONY/MONITOR/BVM_E1/UPDATES/SOFT/BVM_E171/bin
Controller: /MSSONY/MONITOR/BKM/UPDATES/SOFT/BKM_17R/bin

Select all files shown in step 4 and upload them by overwriting.
Note
After the FTP transfer of files has been completed, wait for about three seconds and then turn off power.

Turn on power again and confirm that the system restarts.

Change the kernel to the factory version. (Refer to

Upgrade the software. (Refer to

Recovery Procedure When Upgrading the Unit's Kernel or FPGA Failed
When upgrading the kernel or FPGA failed and power cannot be turned on, write kernel data or FPGA data manually.
This may restore normal operation.
Equipment required
• Personal computer (PC)
Equipped with USB port, LAN terminal
• RS-232C cable conversion tool (JIG HARNESS DSUB 9P: 1-971-624-11)
• RS-232C, D-Sub 9pin straight cable (female to female)
• USB to RS-232C conversion cable (Unnecessary if the PC has an RS-232C connector.)
• Application tool: BVM_HAB_TOOLver1.1
Note
If the application tool does not start, the ".NET Framework" may be necessary.

refer to "Readme.txt" in the downloaded folder.
