18 Introduction to BACnet
1. About BACnet:
BACnet is an ASHRAE communication protocol for building automation and control networks.
(ASHRAE: American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc.).
CP2000's BACnet is based on version 20004.
BACnet's regulations are related to several kind of physical layers' interfaces. The physical layers built
inside CP200 are achieved via MS/TP interface.
The BACnet of CP2000 supports a device type called B-ASC. B-ASC supports five types of services
such as DS-RP-B, DS-WP-B, DM-DDB-B, DM-DOB and DM-DCC-B.
