Program time does not count down. (On models with

• The timer may stop during water intake. >>> The timer
indicator will not count down until the machine has received
sufficient water. When the amount of absorbed water
decreases, the machine waits until enough water has been
absorbed to avoid bad washing results. The timer indicator
will resume the countdown after this period.
• The timer indicator may stop during heating. >>> The timer
indicator will not count down until the machine has reached
the selected temperature.
• The timer indicator may stop during spinning. >>> The
automatic unbalanced load detection system may have
been activated due to the uneven distribution of the
laundry in the drum.

• Insufficient detergent used over an extended period of time.
> > > Use the recommended amount of detergent depending on
the water hardness and the amount of laundry.
• Washing may take a long time at low temperatures.

• Hard water and insufficient amount of detergent. >>>
Using hard water together with insufficient
detergent can cause a build-up of dirt and graying
of laundry over time. It is difficult to eliminate the
graying after it occurs. Use the recommended
amount of detergent suitable for the water
hardness and the wash.
• Too much detergent may have been used. >>> Use the
recommended amount of detergent that is suitable for the
water hardness and the laundry.

• The wrong type may have been used >>> Use original
detergent suitable for the machine.
• The detergent may have been placed in the wrong compartment. >>> Place
detergent in the correct compartment. Do not mix bleach and detergent
together.
Washing result is poor: Greasy stains appear on
the laundry. (**)
• The drum may not have been cleaned regularly. >>>
Clean the drum regularly. See 6.2.
Washing result is bad: Clothes don't smell good. (**)
• Prolonged washing at low temperatures and/or with
short programs causes odor and bacteria in the drum.
> > > Leave the detergent drawer and loading door of the machine
ajar after each wash. This prevents the machine from becoming a
humid environment where bacteria thrive.

• Machine may be too full. >>>Do not overload the machine.
• The detergent used may be damp. >>> Keep detergents
closed in a humid environment and do not expose them
to excessive temperatures.
• A high temperature may have been selected. >>> Select a
program and temperature suitable for the type and degree
of soiling of the laundry.
The rinse result is bad
• The amount, brand or storage conditions of the detergent may
not be suitable. >>> Use a detergent that is suitable for the
washing machine and your laundry. Store detergent sealed
in a moisture-free area and do not expose it to extreme
temperatures.
• The detergent may have been put in the wrong compartment. >>> If
you add detergent in the prewash compartment, even if you have
not selected a prewash program, the machine may use this
detergent during the rinse or softening step. Put the detergent in
the correct compartment.
• The pump filter may be clogged. >>> Check the filter.
• Drain hose may be crimped. >>> Check the drain hose.
