Installing the device driver
Complete the following steps to finish the passive controller installation:
1. Install the fault-tolerant device driver located on the IBM ServeRAID Failover
2. Shut down the server.
Completing the failover environment installation
To verify that the configuration is correct, install and start the ServeRAID Manager
program on the Windows 2000 or Windows NT 4.0 server. For more information,
see Chapter 10, "Installing and starting the ServeRAID Manager program" on
page 93. If your failover pair is correctly configured, the ServeRAID Manager tree
will designate the controllers as active and passive, as shown in the following
figure.

For troubleshooting in a failover environment, see "Solving problems in a failover

Support for Windows NT and Windows 2000 diskette. This can be done either
during or after installing Windows 2000 or Windows NT 4.0. For instructions,
see the IBM ServeRAID Device Driver Installation Instructions on the IBM
ServeRAID Support CD.
