If the formatting process completed normally, "Healthy" is displayed.
If the message "The request cannot be finished because the volume is open or in use" is displayed:
The partition was created, but the format didn't finish. Click OK to format the partition as below.
(1) Right-click the newly-created partition and select Format.
(2) If necessary, configure the desired name and file system. Click OK.
Note: If Perform a quick format is checked, the format will be finished much quicker.
(3) Follow the on-screen instructions.
Formatting with HFS Plus (Mac)
If you want to use the unit with a Mac, follow the procedure below to reformat it with HFS Plus.
Notes:
• Use a Mac to format the drive with HFS Plus. Windows does not support HFS Plus.
• For more details on HFS Plus, consult your Mac help.

Connect the unit to your Mac with the supplied USB cable.

If the unit is not formatted, following screen will be displayed.
