9.1.2 ALARMS (SMARTDRY™ MODE)
An Alarm can be set on both the RH and Temperature values in the SmartDRY™ mode. These alarms are inde-
pendent of the alarms that can be set in the optional SmartBAKE™ mode – Model 3D-10SB only. Both the RH
and Temperature alarms are an "over limit" type, meaning, the alarm will sound when the measured value
rises above the set Alarm value. A delay time can also be set for both the RH and Temperature alarms. This
means the alarm will NOT sound until the alarm condition has been met for at least the programmed delay
time. The alarm limits have been preprogrammed however are not enabled. Once the Cabinet has stabilized at
set point, the alarms can be enabled. You may also want to explore the other Alarms: SmartDRY™ Tempera-
ture, SmartBAKE™ RH, and SmartBAKE™ Temperature, enabling them as you wish.
The delay timer for the RH alarm will count down, not reset, when the measured value falls be-
low the alarm value and before the delay time is reached. This count down is in1/10th time.
Thus, if the interior RH value of the cabinet rises above the alarm value (say, because the door is
open) for 25 seconds, once the door is closed and the RH returns to below the alarm value, the
delay timer will take 250 seconds to count back to 0.
The delay timer for the temperature alarm will count down at a 1 to 1 rate when the measured
value falls below the alarm value and before the delay time is reached.
