To insert the memory card
Always insert/remove the memory card with the phone switched off.
Insert the memory card into the slot with the back facing you, until the memory card is fully inserted into the
slot, as shown in the figure below.
Open the Memory Stick Duo™
card slot.
To remove the memory card

Push the memory card to release.

Carefully pull the memory card out of the slot.

Switching your e228 on and off

To Switch On

After inserting the USIM card (see pages 5 and 6) and the battery (see pages 7 and 8), press the End (On-Off) key until the
phone switches on (approximately two seconds).

To Switch Off

In Standby mode, press and hold the End (On-Off) key until the phone powers down. There may be some delay while the
phone switches off. Do not attempt to switch the phone on again during this time.
Setting/removing the memory card
Insert the memory card.
