The 889 IC Sample Center Basic is controlled by the MagIC Net PC soft-
ware. If a problem occurs which is directly related to the 889 IC Sample
Center Basic, then an error number will be identified in a message win-
dow. The significance of the error numbers is listed in the following chap-
ter.
Cause
The syringe and/or the
injector is/are not avail-
able.
Cause
The home sensor of the
rack holder has not been
activated.
The current position of the
rack holder deviates more
than 2 mm from the home
position.

Remedy
Check whether the version used contains a
syringe and an injector.
Use a version with syringe and injector
(2.889.0010 or 2.889.0020) to execute the
command.
Remedy
1. Switch off sample changer.
2. Carefully slide the rack holder back and
forth and remove any obstacles that may
be present.
3. If possible, push the rack holder all the way
back.
4. Switch on sample changer.
If the error occurs again, call your regional
Metrohm service representative.
