SIMATIC VPU200/565 Programming Manual
When the Configure I/O function is selected, Function Keys F1 – F7 are
labeled as shown and described below; and the chart shown in Figure 11 is
displayed.
NOTE: When the system is Offline, the READPC and WRITPC function
keys are not available and will not be displayed.
This function key accesses two menus, depending on the
SHOW
F2
mode (Online or Offline) in which it is used. In the Online
mode, F2 calls a menu with the I/O Configuration Chart.
The Function Keys are then labeled as shown and described
under Function Keys Available via SHOW in Online Mode,
below. These keys are used to perform a comparison of the
I/O configuration in the P/C to the actual configuration in
the I/O base. In the Offline mode, F2 again calls a menu
with the I/O Configuration Chart. However, in this mode,
the function keys perform the operation of adding
synonyms for each I/O point. The Function Keys are labeled
as shown and described in Function Keys Available with
SHOW in Offline Mode.
(DELETE disk configuration.) This function key erases the
DELETE
F3
I/O configuration from the disk for the channel selected
number on the menu. Two important points to remember:
1.
You cannot delete the I/O configuration for Channel 1 and 2.
2.
Channels are paired as on the RCC card; i.e., 1 & 2, 3 & 4, etc.
Whenever one of a pair of channels is deleted, so is the other. For
example, if you enter Channel 4 and press the Delete (F4) key, the
Channel 3 configuration is also deleted from the disk. In addition, any
channels configured following 4 are also deleted. Likewise, selecting
channel 6 for deletion will delete 5 and 6, 7 and 8.
When the function key is pressed, a prompt will appear to ask if you
are sure you wish to delete the I/O configuration. If you press the NO
(F1) function key, the delete operation will abort; if you press the YES
(F2) function key, the I/O configuration will be deleted.
