VPU200/560 Programming Manual
The following are SIMATIC 560/565 error conditions reported by the
VPU200 that require a change or a fix for the situation that caused the
error before the requested operation can proceed.
The sequencer will not perform or continue with the requested operation
because a fatal error was found. Use AUX or SUPPORT Function 29 to
determine what type of fatal error occurred.
The sequencer found an illegal instruction at the specified address during a
Program-to-Run transition. Use the VPU to edit and reenter the logic at the
given address.
The requested operation cannot be performed while the sequencer is in the
current mode. This usually occurs if the sequencer is in the Run mode. Put
the sequencer in the Program or Freeze mode and retry the operation.
A communications error occurred while a runtime edit was in progress. this
may have caused the ladder rung being edited to contain an error. You must
switch from RUN to PROGRAM and verify that the rung is correct before
going to the RUN mode.
The requested operation cannot be performed while the NIM is in the
current mode. Change the mode of the NIM and retry the operation.
The requested operation cannot be performed because the key lock on the
560/565 is in the PROTECT position.
Communication cannot be established with the Special Function module.
Check that the module is properly configured, and that all communication
lines are intact.
The command sent from the VPU200 was not completed after three
attempts because the sequencer was busy. Retry the operation. or perform it
with the VPU connected directly to the P/C. This message is most likely to
occur when communicating through a remote base.
