Description

The scanner lost its connection with the
IMS, making it impossible for the system
to proceed. The scanner will periodically
try to re-establish the connection.
Possible cause

The slide was not clean.
The slide was removed from the
stage during the check on the
calibration.
The slide was lost before the
scanning process was started.
The gripper could not pick the

slide from the store.
The scanner could not detect the
3
tissue on the slide.
Misplacement of the slide in the
1
rack.
Action
See chapter "Check network connection"
on page 74 to make sure the scanner is
connected to the IMS server.
Make sure the IMS server is online.
Contact your local IT to check the net-
work configuration.
If the problem persists, contact Philips.
Action
► Make sure that the slide is clean, dry, not sticky,
free of annotations in the scan area and free of
fingerprints.
► Place the skipped slide in an empty rack, see
chapter "Placing slides in racks" on page 35.
► Place the rack in the store, see chapter "Placing
racks in the store" on page 36.
► Make sure that the handler is positioned at the right
end and close the store door.

Check the skipped slide:
• Make sure that the used glass slide and cover slip
are supported by the scanner, see chapter "Glass
slides, cover slips and markers" on page 98.
• Make sure that the tissue is placed correctly on the
slide, see chapter "Preparation of slides" on page 27
• Make sure that the cover slip is placed correctly on
the slide, see chapter "Preparation of slides" on
page 27
• Check if the slide is clean, dry, not sticky, free of
annotations in the scan area and free of
fingerprints.
