are disconnected.
Poor electrode-to-skin
contact.

What to Do
• Contact authorized service
personnel.
• AED and therapy functions may
still operate. If needed for
therapy, continue to use device
to treat patient.
• Confirm ECG electrode
connections.
• Reposition cable and/or lead
wires to prevent electrodes from
pulling away from patient.
• Clean, shave, and dry the
patient's skin as recommended
on

3-3.
• Replace electrodes.
• Change cable.
• Check ECG cable continuity. If
lead wire is broken, replace ECG
cable.
