Speed of Each Processing Mode
Processing Speed Conditions
The processing speed may be reduced by the conditions described below.
• Host computer operating environment
• Software that coexists on the computer
• Image resolution, light source settings
When the resolution of the captured image is 240 dpi or 300 dpi, or when the acquired image is 24-bit
color or infrared (IR)
• Driver IQA, OCR, bar code recognition settings
• Data transfer, save, and other application processing
• Cut sheet status
• Processing mode and judgment subject
• Network environment

Operation based on firmware judg-
ments, without instruction from Web
applications, for high-speed processing.
Operation based on firmware judg-
ments, without instruction from the host
computer, for high-speed processing.
When driver judgment is required, pro-
cessing speed is slower compared to
operation according to judgment condi-
tions by firmware only.
Since the product stands by for instruc-
tions from the application for each cut
sheet scan, processing speed depends
on control from the application. Also,
processing speed depends on whether
or not overlap is performed.
