Replacing the Main Filter

Note that only Gebrüder Martin main filters (ULPA standard) may be used! The residual
capacity of the filter is indicated, as well as the need to replace it, see section 6.6.11
"FILTER LIFE", page 52.
Filter capacity is measured by 3 contacts (7). If the main filter is not installed correctly, it
cannot be recognized by the Limax
section 6.6.11 "FILTER LIFE", page 52. The VAC cannot be activated in this case.
Used-up main filters are infectious waste and must not be returned to the manufacturer.
If you need to return the laser unit to the manufacturer, be sure to remove the main filter
and dispose of it in accordance with applicable national regulations and guidelines!

Take hold of the used-up filter at the

treat used filters as infectious waste.
Remove new main filter (3) from its
packaging. Main filters are shipped with
2 caps (5) on the suction hose connectors.
With the large recess (2) pointing
downwards, carefully insert the new main
filter (3) into the filter compartment (6)
provided for this purpose, making sure that
it locks in place noticeably.
If the marking (4) is still visible, the main
filter (3) has not been inserted deep
enough into the compartment (6). In this
case, press filter (3) further down into the
compartment until it engages correctly.
