Measures to Be Taken Prior to Using the Laser System

Dangerous laser radiation!
Guard the laser area against access by unauthorized persons. Install laser warning sign(s)
and warning lamp(s) at all doors leading to the laser area.
Provide protective goggles for all persons present in the laser area (incl. patient).
Fire hazard!
The use of combustible anesthetic gases or oxidizing gases, such as nitrous oxide (N
or oxygen, should be avoided.
When saturated with oxygen, some materials (such as cotton) could catch fire at the high
temperatures generated during the normal use of the laser unit.
The solvents of adhesives and flammable solutions used for cleaning and disinfection
must be given sufficient time for evaporation before using the laser.
Attention must also be given to endogenous gases that could catch fire.

Operating the Limax
Potential hazard due to maloperation!
Using the controls or adjusting functions of the laser in ways other than those described in
this user manual can lead to dangerous irradiation!
