Removing
Moving the wiper blades to a vertical
position
Vehicles without KEYLESS GO*
Make sure that the key is in position 1 or
X
2 in the ignition lock.
Set the windscreen wipers to position II
X
( page 93) on the combination switch.
Y
When the wiper arms have reached a ver-
X
tical position, turn the key to position 0 and
remove it from the ignition lock.
Fold the wiper arm away from the wind-
X
screen until it engages.
Set the wiper blade at right angles to the
X
wiper arm.
Vehicles with KEYLESS GO*
Switch off the engine.
X
Take your foot off the brake pedal.
X
Set the windscreen wipers to position II
X
( page 93) on the combination switch.
Y
Press the KEYLESS GO button repeatedly
X
until the windscreen wipers start.
* optional
When the wiper arms have reached a ver-
X
tical position, press the KEYLESS GO but-
ton again.
Fold the wiper arm away from the wind-
X
screen until it engages.
Set the wiper blade at right angles to the
X
wiper arm.
Removing the wiper blades
Remove the wiper blade from the retainer
X
on the wiper arm in the direction of the
arrow.
Practical advice
Replacing the wiper blades
Fitting
Slide the new wiper blade into the retainer
X
on the wiper arm in the opposite direction
to the arrow.
Turn the wiper blade parallel to the wiper
X
arm.
Fold the wiper arm back onto the wind-
X
screen.
