The SBC
brake system is running in
emergency mode. The full power of the
brake system is not available.
The brake system is very hot due to
extreme loads.
A malfunction has occurred with SBC Hold
activated.
The horn may also sound at regular inter-
vals. The horn becomes louder if you
attempt to lock the vehicle.
The engine cannot be started.
The boot separator is open.
Possible solution
Drive on carefully.

Visit a qualified specialist workshop immedi-

ately.
Reduce the load on the brake system:
Drive with even greater care.

Use engine braking on downhill gradients.
X
Select a lower gear for this purpose.
Continue driving carefully to allow the airflow
X
to cool the brakes.
Immediately depress the brake pedal firmly
X
until the display message disappears.
Prevent the vehicle from rolling away before
X
you leave it (
page 97).

The engine can be started again.
