Opening/closing the roof
Locking the roof again
The roof is unlocked when:
the K Vario-roof in operation
R
message appears in the multi-function dis-
play
you hear a warning tone or the indicator
R
lamp flashes for up to ten seconds when
pulling away or while driving
You can lock the roof again if it is not locked
fully.
Before driving on
Make sure that the key is in position 2 in
X
the ignition lock.
Push the roof switch forwards

Stop the vehicle immediately, paying atten-

tion to road and traffic conditions.

Boot separator
The boot separator can be used to cover lug-
gage and loads in the boot.

To avoid damaging the roof or luggage
when folding back the roof, you should:
only load the boot to below the boot sep-
R
arator
not place any objects on or in front of the
R
boot separator
not place any objects on the cover
R
behind the roll-over bars
not allow the load to push up the boot

Closing the boot separator
Pull boot separator 1 backwards in the

direction of the arrow by handle 4.
Hook boot separator 1 into fastening eye-

lets 3 in the side panels.
Opening the boot separator
Remove boot separator 1 from fastening
X
eyelets 3 in the side panels.
Push boot separator 1 forwards against
X
the direction of the arrow by handle 4.
Removing the boot separator
Fold the material cover of the zipper over if
X
necessary.
Open zipper 2 completely while the boot
X
separator is closed.
Remove boot separator 1 from fastening
X
eyelets 3 in the side panels.
Push boot separator 1 forwards against
X
the direction of the arrow by handle 4.
