Removal:
The following procedure is applied to both brake callipers.
NOTE
Before removing the brake calliper, drain the brake fl uid from
inside the brake circuit.
Detach:
the special screw (6) and gaskets (5) Fig.A
Remove the front brake hoses.
NOTE
Insert the end of the brake hose into a container and slowly
pump out and drain the brake fl uid.
Remove both callipers, unscrewing the fastening screws "A"
on the front fork Fig. B
Detach:
The brake calliper pistons "B"(2 Ø 34 mm and 2 Ø 30 mm)
Fig. C
The piston gaskets on the brake calliper "E" (fi rst the
smallest oil seals - gaskets, then the sealing rings - larger
gaskets).
Secure the pistons on the brake calliper with a block of
wood Fig. D.
Blow compressed air into the brake hose coupling to force
out the pistons on the left of the brake calliper Fig.D.
WARNING
Never try to prise out the calliper pistons.
Remove the piston seals from the brake calliper.
Repeat the same procedure to force out the pistons on the
right of the brake calliper Fig.D.
