Switching the Passenger Airbag

B Enabled
Turn the switch to position A.
When you switch the ignition on,
the passenger airbag OFF
warning lamp illuminates

indicating that the passenger airbag is
disabled. For item location: See At a

Switching the Passenger Airbag
On
WARNING
Make sure that the passenger airbag
is enabled when you are not using a
child restraint on the front passenger
seat.
Turn the switch to position B.
When you switch the ignition on,
the passenger airbag ON
warning lamp illuminates

SIDE AIRBAGS

WARNING
Use seat covers designed for seats
with side airbags. Have these fitted
by an authorized dealer.

The airbags are located inside the
seatback of the front seats. There is a label
attached to the side of the seatback to
indicate this.
The airbag will deploy during significant
lateral collisions. It might also deploy
during significant frontal collisions. The
airbag will not deploy in minor lateral and
frontal collisions, rear collisions, or
overturns.

DRIVER KNEE AIRBAG

WARNING
Do not attempt to open the airbag
cover.
