2-1-9 Replacing the Head Up Cylinder

1) Off to the air machine.
2) Remove the nut at the air cylinder tip and remove the release bar.
3) Disconnect the φ4 air tube from the air cylinder.
4) Remove the air cylinder.
5) Remove the elbow union, speed controller, cylinder bracket, and auto switch.
6) Reassemble the components in the reverse order of disassembly.
7) If the speed controller has also been replaced, it is necessary to carry out the adjustment before
mounting the release bar. See section <Speed controller adjustment procedure>.
∗ The release bar assembly position is 6 mm from the tip of the cylinder rod.
∗ Mount the auto switch at a position 3.5mm from the lower end of the cylinder.
∗ Manually operate the solenoid valve to check that the release bar moves up or down
smoothly.
<Speed controller adjustment procedure>
① Call up the MS parameters from the top menu and select [Simple Control] → [MSP] tab in the
function bar. In this status, press the emergency stop button.
② Select [nozzle up cylinder] and turn ON or OFF the cylinder to adjust the displayed time (msec.)
to the specification value. (From the fully closed is approximately 2-turn half-open)
③ Air cylinder down time 120±5 msec.
(The difference between the left and right is 5 msec. or less.)
