15.4 Clearances

The following clearances are required for all

enclosures:

Allow 200 mm (minimum) above

–

Allow 1500 mm (recommended) clearance

–

in front

Allow 400 mm (recommended) clearance

–

at the rear for testing fans, access to

interconnecting wiring and installation of

bus bars. 200 mm at the rear is the

minimum

clearance

ventilation of enclosures placed side-by-

side and 400 mm if placed back-to-back.

(Exception: The Coupling Transformer

and Utility Disconnect can be placed

back-to-back without any clearance.)

No side clearance required

Side clearance to the wall at the side

–

where the cabinet outmost hinges of

minimum 400 mm is recommended to

allow the doors to open sufficiently. The

doors must open 120° to allow normal

cabinet to access the PCS100 UPS-I

module replacement.
