Standard settings for network parameters
The following network parameters are set in the product's
factory default settings:
IP address: 192.168.1.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
DHCP client: Deactivated; the duration of the boot
phase may change if DHCP is activated
The maximum time between "power-up" and "ready
for communication" is 20 seconds. After updating the
software-/firmware, the occurrence of errors or during
factory boot, this time can be significantly longer.
The network address of the product can be assigned
automatically via DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol) or entered manually.
For more information on the DHCP
configuration, refer to the User's Manual for
Application Development.
If the network parameters of the product were
changed, it can no longer be reached under
the IP address 192.168.1.2; in this case, the
product may have to be reset to the factory
default setting with the standard network
settings (see "Reset modes supported by the
product", Page 29).
Firewall settings
The network must ensure protection against viruses and
malicious software. The same applies to access to the
Internet or other networks.
The protective measures for this network are the
responsibility of the machine tool builder and the
respective network administrator, for example through an
appropriately configured firewall.
The following firewall settings are required:
Enabling of TCP port 1050 for general communication
Enabling of TCP port 1210 for Recording Data Transfer
Enabling of UDP port 1060 for Streaming Data Transfer
Enabling of UDP ports 1025 to 65534 for Soft Realtime
mode
If necessary, temporary enabling of a TFTP connection
for updating the firmware
Have an IT specialist configure the firewall to
enable the ports.
