The Limax
120 may only be operated after an on-site functional test has been carried out by
Gebrüder Martin or a person specially authorized by Gebrüder Martin. In addition, a person
appointed by the operator of the unit must be familiarized with the Limax
proper handling, application and operation and its permitted use in conjunction with other
medical devices, objects and accessories. It is the responsibility of this trained person in
charge of the unit to conduct subsequent user training on the operator's premises at regular
intervals.
The user instruction must be documented in the medical device logbook.

The mains connector socket assembly of the smoke
evacuator (Fig. 5.4, (18)) includes an ON / OFF switch
(3) and two line fuses (2). The evacuator must be
connected to a separate – and separately
fused - socket-outlet using a separate mains cable (as
supplied). Be sure to observe the voltage specifications
provided on the rating plate (1) when making the
connection.
Do not use a splitting box or extension cords!
U-version mains connection
In this version, the supply voltage required for
operating the smoke evacuator is specified on the
voltage indicator (1) – in our example: 120 VAC. The
right side of the label shows the required mains input
fuse rating (3) – in our example: T 6.3 AH, 250 V
["T" = slow-blow].
