OFF (ring not illuminated)
Rotary switch inactive. This is the initial state after
turning on the unit, and it is the state into which the laser
automatically lapses if it has not been operated for some
time (menu timeout).
This state can also be entered by selecting <BACK (see
6.1.8 "Display", page 42) – or simply by operating the
LASER READY button.
Pressing the rotary switch activates it and switches the
laser to STANDBY mode (laser not ready for
use) - provided the foot switch has not been operated.
White
Rotary switch active.
A parameter field can now be selected.
Rotating the switch highlights a parameter field or a menu
item (see 6.1.8 "Display", page 42) that can subsequently
be selected by pressing the switch axially ("ENTER").
Orange
Laser parameter active.
It is now possible to change the parameter value.
As a result, the laser parameter is highlighted in orange
and can be changed by rotating the switch.
Pressing the rotary switch confirms the value.
Blue
Device parameter active.
It is now possible to change the device setting.
The device parameter is now highlighted in blue.
Turning the rotary switch allows you to change the selected
device parameter.
Pressing the rotary switch axially confirms the new
parameter setting.
