Operation
a. Trunk on the ground
Cut half of the trunk, turn it over and fi nish the cut on the other side.
b. Trunk in elevation
Begin by cutting a fi rst part from below and then from above. Then, on the second part, repeat this operation.
c. Pruning of a felled tree
Observe fi rst the direction of fl exion of the branch. Make a fi rst notch on the side in fl exion and fi nish the cut
on the opposite side.
d. Pruning a tree
Begin pruning by nicking the tree from below and then fi nish at the top.
