9.3 Evaluation of the test results

The dynamic viscosity  (in mPas) is calculated using the
following equation:

K = ball constant in mPascm
= density of the ball in g/cm

= density of the liquid to be measured at the measuring

temperature in g/cm
t = falling time of the ball in seconds.
Test results:
The dynamic viscosity  is given in units of mPas (cP) and
must be completed by stating the sample temperature.
The dynamic viscosity  may be converted to the kinematic
viscosity  by using the following equation:

 = density of the liquid sample [g/cm
