Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use

Read these instructions carefully before installation and use. Failure to follow all the instructions
and safety instructions can lead to the risk of personal injury and/or material damage.

The user is responsible for the safe use of the product and compliance with all local regulations
and laws.
- Indicates a dangerous situation that can lead to fatal and/or serious personal injury if
the instructions are not followed.
- Indicates a potentially dangerous situation that could lead to fatal or serious personal
injury if the instructions are not followed.
- Indicates a potentially dangerous situation that could lead to minor personal injury if
the instructions are not followed. Can also indicate measures that could result in
danger.


Never put your hands or fingers in the hook.

Keep at a safe distance from the winch, the wire and the hook when in use.

The winch must not be used to lift or move people.

The winch must not be used to lift up, or suspend, loads.
NOTE: The winch is only intended for hobby use, not for commercial use.

The wire can break before the motor stops. For heavy loads, use a snatch block and double wires.

The winch has its maximum pulling power when the wire lies directly on the drum, i.e. when it is
almost completely unwound.

Do not overload the winch. Do not run the winch for long with a heavy load, this could damage the
wire and/or the winch. We recommend using a snatch block and double wires for loads over 227
kg. This will reduce the load on the winch and wire by about 50 per cent.

Read these instructions carefully and familiarise yourself with the controls on the winch and how
they are used.

Do not move the vehicle to move the load. This could overload the wire, and damage the wire or
the winch.

Keep children and onlookers at a safe distance when using the winch. Always keep at a safe
distance from the wire, hook and winch.

Check the condition of the wire and the equipment regularly. Replace the wire immediately if any
threads are broken. Only use wires recommended by the manufacturer. Always check before use
that all the screw connections are properly tightened.

Always wear heavy-duty safety gloves when handling wires. Never allow the wire to slip through
your hands.

Never load the winch if there are less than 9 turns of wire on the drum. Otherwise, the wire can
come loose from the drum when loaded and cause personal injury and/or material damage.

Never try to guide the wire with your hands – risk of serious personal injury. Use a suitable tool.

Keep at a safe distance from the winch, the wire and the hook when in use. Never put your hands
or fingers in the hook – risk of serious personal injury. Never hook the hook round the wire, this can
damage the wire. Use a nylon loop.

The winch must not be used to lift up, or suspend, loads. The winch must not be used to lift or
move people.

Do not attempt to pull loads at an angle, this will cause the wire to collect at one end of the drum. If
this happens the wire can jam, which could damage the wire and/or the winch.

Always make sure you have a good overview of the winching. Only use equipment and accessories
that have at least the same nominal maximum load as the winch. Check the condition of the
equipment and accessories regularly.

When the winch is not in use, make sure that it cannot be activated by unathororised persons.
Never use the winch when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.

When winching loads, wind up the wire slowly so that it is stretched tight. Stop the winch and check
all the wire couplings. Check that the hook is properly secured. If a nylon loop is used, check that
the load is firmly secured.
