Raise the foot and remove the fabric.
Cut the threads leaving a 10 cm (4") tails. Pull the
bobbin thread to bring the needle thread to the
wrong side of the fabric, and tie them together.
Place a pin just before the bartack to prevent
cutting the bartack.
Cut opening with the seam ripper.

After buttonhole sewing is finished, push
the buttonhole lever up as far as it will
go.
To repeat buttonhole sewing.
Select pattern number 1 ( ) by turning the pattern selector dial
toward 1. Then re-select the buttonhole by turning the dial toward 2 to
reset for sewing the next buttonhole.
