2. Turn on the cold water supply and check for leaks.
If it leaks, refer to
Figure 2.
Confirm that the bypass valve is in
the closed position (pointed down).
When in the open position, the
bypass valve simply allows
incoming water to flow straight to
the outlet without having to pass
through the solenoid junction.
When the bypass valve is open, it
is possible for treated water to mix
with the unfiltered water depending
on the supply pressure. See section
labeled "Flow Path Diagrams" for
further understanding.
