Some localities have corrosive water. A softener cannot correct this problem and so its printed warranty disclaims liability for corrosion of plumbing lines, fixtures or appliances. If you are going away on vacation and do not want the unit to recharge. Bypass Valve In the back of Culligan water softener is a Cul-Flo-Valv® Bypass valve. To bypass the unit, turn the blue knob clockwise. To return to softened water service, turn the blue knob counter-clockwise.
