1. Timer Precision
TTIM(120) instruction errors can be one cycle time or more (up to two cycle
times). The error range is ± (10 ms + cycle time).
2. Operation of the TTIM(120) Instruction between JMP(004) and JME(005)
• The timer PV is refreshed every cycle during program execution.
• The timer operates normally while the execution condition of JMP(004) is
ON.
• The timer PV is not refreshed while the timer is jumped (while the execu-
tion condition of JMP(004) is OFF.)
If the timer is jumped after it has started timing, the timer count will contin-
ue incrementing but the PV will not be refreshed.
• The Completion Flag will not be turned ON while a timer is jumped, even if
the SV elapses.
• When the execution condition for JMP(004) is changed to ON, an timer
that had been operating will continue timing up from the full time that
elapsed since the timer's execution condition went ON. If the SV elapsed
while the timer was jumped, the timer's Completion Flag will be turned ON
when the execution condition for JMP(004) is turned ON again.
• If the timer's execution condition goes ON while the timer is jumped, it may
appear as if the timer is not timing because the PV is not refreshed, but the
timer will be incrementing. When the execution condition for JMP(004) is
changed to ON, the timer will continue incrementing from the time that
elapsed while TTIM(120) was jumped.
SV must be between 000.0 and 999.9 and must be BCD. The decimal point is not
entered.
The PVs of accumulative timers in interlocked program sections are maintained
when the execution condition for IL(002) is OFF.
Power interruptions will reset timers unless the IOM Hold Bit and PC Setup are
set to retain timer PVs during power interruptions.
Accumulative timers will not restart after timing out unless the PV is changed to a
value below the SV, the reset input is turned ON, or CNR(236) is executed to
reset the timer. Accumulative timers are not reset in action programs when the
step goes inactive.
Note: Refer to page 101 for general precautions on operand data areas.
Content of *DM word is not BCD when set for BCD.
ER (A50003):
SV is not BCD.
When CIO 000000 is ON in the following example, the PV will be incremented by
1 every 0.1 s and the Completion Flag (T128) will turn ON when the PV reaches
0100. If CIO 000001 turns ON, the PV will be reset to 0000 and the Completion
Flag will be turned OFF. The PV will be maintained whenever CIO 000000 is
OFF.
