4 Handling
INFORMATION
► The daily duration of use and period of application are generally
determined by the physician.
► The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by
qualified personnel according to the instructions of the physician treat­
ing you.
► Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
► Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional
changes are noted (e.g. worsening of the complaint).
4.1 Size Selection
► Select the orthosis size based on the shoe size (see sizing table)
4.2 Adaptation
1) Open all the hook-and-loop closures on the orthosis and remove the liner
(see Fig. 1 and see Fig. 2).
INFORMATION: For the Air Walker high, Air Walker low and
Achilles Walker models, the top hook-and-loop closure is removed
from the Walker together with the liner.
2) Only Achilles Walker and, optionally, Walker high and Air Walker
high models: Position the heel wedge (29S35) in the liner.
3) Position the foot in the liner (see Fig. 3).
4) Close all the hook-and-loop closures on the liner (see Fig. 4 and see
Fig. 5).
5) Position the foot with the liner in the Walker (see Fig. 6). Check the posi­
tion of the heel whilst doing this.
INFORMATION: The foot angle should be 90° (except models with
the 29S35 heel wedge).
6) Press on the lateral guides medially and laterally (see Fig. 7).
→ The liner is secured in the Walker.
7) Close all hook-and-loop closures on the Walker one after the other, start­
ing at the bottom (see Fig. 8 and see Fig. 9).
