2. Check the GPRS signal (indicated in –dBm). A poorer signal will ask more of the battery and will
hinder a successful mail transfer, specifically of the data e-mail. A signal up to – 75 dBm is
preferred.
3. If the status and alarm e-mails are generally received without difficulty, it is most probably the
size of the data e-mail that causes the problem. This is linked with the e-mail protocol whereby
the risk of errors increases the longer the transmission takes.
In general data e-mails with a size of about 100 kB will be transferred. If they are larger in size
than 140 kB, successful transfer will be more difficult. The VIBRA
file containing the peak values of the past 24 hours.
You can reduce the data e-mail in size by increasing the measurement interval or the data save level. An
interval of 1 minute without save level is a 'safe' setting. With save level an interval of 30 s is usual.

E-mail alarm function

The e-mail alarm function starts automatically, if:
an alarm level has been set on the VIBRA
-
the e-mail function has been activated via the PC software.
-
When an alarm level has been set in the Change Settings menu and the threshold was exceeded during
measuring, the alarm will be activated and shown on display and also by the alarm beacon (if connected).
In version 2.* and higher the alarm email is no longer linked with the alarm on display/beacon. The only
common setting is the level of the alarm.
The PC software has a separate check box which enables you to activate the alarm email. If ticked, the
+
VIBRA
checks every 15 minutes whether the alarm level has been exceeded. If so, an alarm e-mail will
be send. The alarm e-mail will be transmitted on fixed times, that is every 15 minutes after the time of
transmission of the status and data mail. The e-mail will contain the data of maximally the last 30 minutes.
Thus you will not be 'spammed' by e-mails and no more than 4 e-mails will be send every hour.
The e-mail alarm will be send to the addressee as set in the E-mail Settings of the VIBRA menu in the
VIBRA PC software, as described in paragraph 7.2.
