Programming and locking the VIBRA with the PC software

You can program the VIBRA on the VIBRA itself, as described in paragraph 5.3, or send the desired settings
to the VIBRA with the PC software running the correct licence file. In addition you can (partly) lock the
VIBRA for security reasons with the PC software.
Advantages of programming the VIBRA via the PC
Fully of partially locking the VIBRA for 'measurement' safety reasons

Based on the chosen settings the PC software directly indicates the expected

measurement duration until the VIBRA's memory is full. This indication is based on an
empty memory and without taking into account a Save Level.
Any changed settings ànd the PC date and time are send to the VIBRA the moment you
-
click OK. As a result summer/winter time can easily be changed in several systems. Also
synchronising VIBRA's for the same project is simpler.
Procedure
Connect the VIBRA to the PC with the USB cable. It is not necessary to switch on the VIBRA. It will
automatically switch on the moment the PC tries to establish the connection. Start up the VIBRA PC
software in the Profound PC software.
The menu Connected VIBRAS will automatically pop up. If not, select the option New in the File menu
(short key: Ctrl + N). The following menu will appear on the screen:
If the message Locked is shown after the serial number, the unique licence file belonging to the system
has not been found. Close the menu and follow steps 2 and 3 as described in paragraph 6.2.
