External alarm
If the alarm level has been exceeded, one of the pins in the USB socket is also activated to enable the
use of an external alarm. The alarm duration can be set in the option Alarm, as described in paragraph
5.3.7. You can purchase a VIBRA alarm beacon from Profound.

E-mail alarm (VIBRA option)

With the VIBRA
you can activate an e-mail alarm. The e-mail alarm function starts automatically, if you
have set an alarm level and have activated the e-mail function. More information about when and how an
e-mail alarm will be sent can be found in paragraph 7.5 of this manual.
5.3.6 Smart Alarm (VIBRA
The 'smart alarm'-function means that the alarm follows the selected category thresholds (DIN or SBR).
According to the governing code, the threshold at a higher frequency is higher than at the low
frequencies. The alarm will only be activated, if the threshold has been exceeded and not at the set,
constant velocity value.
This setting is only available in the VIBRA
You have to use the following settings to activate the smart alarm:
1. Set the desired category in Peak Type. (FFT frequency method is always used by the VIBRA
the smart alarm).
2. Set the Alarm Level with the value according to DIN or SBR at 0 Hz. Confirm your choice with the
-key OK.
3. Save the changed setting when exiting the Change Settings menu.
Hard set alarm setting
If a hard set alarm value has been prescribed and so the smart alarm cannot be used, you can still set a
building category and disable the smart alarm. You can do this both via the Change Settings menu in the
PC software or on the VIBRA
